May 18 2006 - we will be going again on a folk music course at  Martyn & Danni Wyndham-Read's beautiful French farmhouse at La Jeusseliniere in  Normandy. The course tutors will be Eric Bogle & John Munro. We are very much looking forward to the experience.

Last summer (2005) we were staying in France and called in to see the Friday night concert at La Jeusseliniere given by the students and their guest tutor Mike Silver. It was a lovely experience.

Also in October 2005 we attended a students and tutors reunion organised by Harvey Andrews & Stan Graham in the beautiful Shropshire village of Worthen. The event was magical and the Saturday night concert given by the tutors was a magical array of some of the finest talent in the British folk world.

Most heart warming was the welcome return to performing by Vin Garbutt who was back on form in all departments.

The French Connection....

In the summer of 2004 we spent a very pleasant week at one of Martyn Wyndham Reed's folk music courses at La Jeusseliniere in Normandy, France.

The Course tutor on this occasion was Vin Garbutt and, needless to say, we all found ourselves crying with laughter during the whole event. Despite the fun he managed to work us all hard and much was learned. We have both developed an interest in the whistle as a result of the course and Vin's expertise on the instrument.

We can fully recommend the courses. Martyn and his wife Danni offer a warm welcome, sumptuous buffet lunches and beautiful surroundings in which to enjoy the courses led by notable folk artists.
